Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Former two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, consistently making substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Difference
As both boxers met for the usual face-off, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually happening.
